Scarlett Johansson koos ervoor boegbeeld te worden van de firma SodaStream, dat de Israelische bezettingspolitiek steunt. Ze was ook ´ambassadeur´ van Oxfam en stapte daar uiteindelijk op, na breed discussie en publicitaire druk.
Ze had gesteld dat SodaStream Palestijnse arbeiders en zo 'de vrede' hielp. En vergat dat zelfs als de Palestijnse arbeiders in de nederzettingen prachtige arbeidsrechten zouden hebben dat hun arbeid dan nog de verdere kolonisatie helpt en dus hun verdere verdrijving. Haar argumentatie is ook wel in Nederland te horen bij maatschappelijke en politieke groepen die de Israelische kolonisatiedaden steunen. Eigenlijk stellen ze: hoe meer nederzettingen hoe beter voor Palestijnse arbeiders en hoe beter voor 'vrede'. Een sprookje.......
